I didn't receive the "Forgot My Password" email.

The email address that you request the "Forgot My Password" email be sent to must match the email address on file. If not, you will not receive the "Forgot My Password" email. I created an account on the BBS, but still can't log in.

Once your account is created for the BBS you will receive a confirmation email with a link. You will need to click on this link to complete the registration process.

Why do I need two accounts -- one for BBS and one for Online Store?

The system requires separate accounts be created one for the BBS and another for Storefront for security purposes.

My Storefront password doesn't work.

Subscriptions

I just paid for my subscription and then got an invoice. Was my payment received?

If you requested that we bill you for your subscription, one issue is sent and then an invoice is mailed at the first of the next month. Invoices are typically printed around the 25th of the month, but may not arrive in your mailbox until the 15th. The invoice and the payment may have crossed in the mail. If in doubt, please call in U.S. and some parts of Canada 800-447-7367; outside of U.S. 231-946-3712 or email service@villagepress.com.

When does my subscription expire?

You can check online at My Subscriptions or contact Customer Service at 800-447-7367 in U.S. and portions of Canada; 231-946-3712 outside of U.S. or email service@villagepress.com.

How can I pay for my subscription?

If you have ordered a new subscription or renewed your subscription and asked to be invoiced, we'll send you an invoice. You can return that invoice with payment or call in U.S. and some parts of Canada 800-447-7367; outside of U.S. 231-946-3712. Currently payments on invoices cannot be made online. Coming soon!

When will I receive my first/next issue?

There are standard mail dates for each publication, those dates vary depending on which publication and its schedule. Your new issue should arrive within the first week of the month of the cover date. How can I get a replacement issue for one I didn't receive?

Why do we send out renewal notice so early?

Most of Village Press Publications are bi-monthly and a few are quarterly. The first renewal notice is sent at the time your second-to-last magazine is mailed. You may renew at this time or you can wait until your last issue is mailed, and there will be no lapse in your subscription.

How can I renew my subscription online?

Go to My Subscriptions.

I went to My Subscriptions but the option to renew is not there.

If there is no option to renew appearing, then your subscription is not up for renewal at this time. Renewals are available only when two or fewer issues remain on a subscription.

How can I send a gift?

If you are a subscriber with us, log into your online account. If you are new, create a brand new record for yourself. Select the subscription you want to give as a gift and During checkout "Step 1 of 3? on the storefront, answer "Yes" to the question "Send As Gift". Here you can enter a personal message that will be printed on a postcard, we will mail on your behalf. Next, add the recipients address to this same screen and then complete the checkout process.

I got two copies of the same magazine. What should I do?

Digital Edition Subscriptions

How can I access my paid digital issues?

"My Digital Library" lists all paid digital issues. Click on the link to view. You'll be asked to re-enter your username and password to view.

Is the content of the print and the digital edition of an issue the same?

Yes, the content is the same. Just the delivery method is different. Many subscribers opt to receive both.

If I subscribe to both the print and digital editions will I receive a discount?

Yes, for Digital Machinists a discount is given on the digital edition, if you subscribe to the print edition. The expiration dates must be the same on both editions to qualify for the discount.

Are back issues available in the digital edition?

Digital back issues of Digital Machinist are available, but not our other magazine. If a digital edition exists, you'll be asked which edition you prefer after you add the issue to your shopping cart..

How can I change my Digital Machinists subscription from print to digital?

Why can't I download and print the digital issue?

Although you will be able to receive the digital version for a low price anywhere in the world, it is a read only version (no downloading or printing), through your internet browser. Because of these limitations, the digital version is offered at a reduced price. At Digital Machinist, you have the option of subscribing to the digital edition for $14.95, or the color print edition for $19.95 (US)... or you can subscribe to both for a great deal of $26.95 (US). If you'd like a printed copy of the magazine, just call 1-800-447-7367, and add a print subscription to your account.

How can digital issues be viewed?

Digital issues can be viewed using your internet browser. The digital issues are currently not apps in the traditional sense.

Product Orders

When will I receive my book/product order?

Our product orders ship daily by media mail postal service, unless expedited service is requested. Please allow at seven to ten business days for products to arrive.

Are videos available in DVD format and visa versa?

Some are. This information is provided in the description of the product at the Online Storefront.

How can I order back issues?

Some of our most current years of back issues are listed and available for purchase at the Online Storefront. For earlier copies you will need to contact our Customer Service at 800-447-7367 in U.S. and portions of Canada. 231-946-3712 outside of U.S.

When will I receive my back issue order?

Back issue orders take two to three weeks to arrive once they are mailed. Back issues mailings are processed once a week.

How do I find a particular article or a particular subject?

For our dog and metal publications, you may visit our online index. First select the magazine of interest. Then you'll need to find the article index. Depending on which magazine you selected, it is under 'Features >Article Index' or 'Interactive > Article Index' or 'Article Index' on the magazine's main website. You can search by author, subject, or issue.

Why can't I read any articles online?

At this time we are not providing this service.

How can I pay for my subscription?

If you have received an invoice you will need to contact Customer Service at 800-447-7367 or 231-946-3712 and payment can be applied using a credit card; currently you cannot apply payments to invoices on our website. If renewing, you can select the term on the subscription you want and proceed through the checkout process. Remember to have your customer number available for registration or if you have already created an online record, simply log in to your account and completing the checkout process.

Publication Content

What is the difference between The Home Shop Machinist and Machinist's Workshop?

HSM contains articles that may be of interest to all skill levels; however, our more advanced projects will be featured here, rather than MW. Our longer articles will typically run in HSM and the shorter, sometimes simpler, projects will appear in MW. Another difference is that we will run non-machining type articles in MW. This can include subjects such as welding, forging, and casting. MW carries Steve Acker's Gunsmith Machinist column and will also carry gunsmithing articles from other authors. HSM will never carry a gunsmithing article.

Do you have "Just Goldens"? Other breeds?

Our dog related publications such as The Pointing Dog Journal and The Retriever Journal do feature a variety of breeds specific to the sport of pointing or retrieving. Our publication Just Labs is strictly for the enthusiasts of the Labrador retriever.
